LEGACY REUNION

CALLING ALL SPARTANS ...

2016 is the 50th Anniversary of the opening
of Mount Tabor High School !!!
 
All students and faculty from 1966 to 1971 are invited
to this once-in-a-lifetime celebration weekend.
 
Other graduating classes after Mount Tabor was returned to a high school are having special reunions this weekend as well.   This does not replace the 45th Reunion of "The Class That Never Was" which is coming in 2017.

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 30
 
Homecoming Parade : 2:00 pm.  Starts and ends in school parking lot.   Petree Road will be closed in front of school.  Park at Northwest Baptist Church, across from the football stadium.   You may leave your car there through the football game.

COACH ALEXANDER MADE AN APPEARANCE.  WE IMMEDIATELY SWARMED HIM.   HE'S DOING GREAT!!!
 
Homecoming Football Game : North Forsyth vs Mount Tabor; 7:00 pm    IT WAS ACTUALLY NORTH DAVIDSON THAT SHOWED UP.   (North Forsyth is now a 3A school.)   THE SPARTANS LAID A 49-22 WHUPPIN' ON THE KNIGHTS OF NORTH DAVIDSON.
After Party : Gathering at The Crosby Pub at The Village Inn, Clemmons    WE CLOSED THE PLACE.   JIMMY GUILL SAID IT WAS THE FIRST TIME HE'D BEEN UP PAST MIDNIGHT IN TWENTY-FIVE YEARS.  'NUFF SAID.  

 

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 1

 
MTHS 50th Year Legacy Golf Classic : Winston Lake Golf Course, 3535 Winston Lake Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27105; 8:00 am registration, 9:00 am shotgun start, rain or shine.  Cost is $75/player; $300/team of four.  17 teams have signed up.  We have room for 32 more players / 8 teams!!!   Lots of fun.  Plenty of prizes.  Lunch provided by Chick-Fil-A.  Proceeds benefit Mount Tabor.  For more information or to sign up: Kristin Wooten, (336) 462-2108, kristin.wooten@golrb.com
 
Pinball Bash : 11:00 am; 7221 Shallowford Road, Lewisville, NC 27023; contact Jim Davis, (336) 306-4376, jim.davis0531@gmail.com.  $20 to enter, includes five tickets to 50/50 raffle.  All proceeds to benefit Mount Tabor.
 
Dinner and Dancing : Tanglewood's Club House Ballroom.  4201 Manor House Circle, Clemmons, NC  27012   6:00 pm.  North Carolina BBQ pork and chicken.   DJ playing our music from 60's and 70's. Silent auction.  We are both pleased and very sad to report that we have reached capacity of 300 for dinner and dancing at Tanglewood.  No new reservations accepted. Walkups cannot be admitted by order of Fire Marshal.
 
 
ACCOMMODATIONS : A block of rooms has been reserved at The Village Inn in Clemmons.  $99/night includes breakfast.  Call 336-766-9121 and tell them you are with Mount Tabor Legacy Reunion.  Ask for Jo.
