Robert (Bob) Brantley

Robert David Brantley, 56, died on Monday, December 13, 2010 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, William C. & Virginia S. Brantley of Winston- Salem, NC. He is survived by his beloved partner Greg, his brother, Bill Brantley and family of Austin, Tx., and brother, Jim Brantley and family of Kernersville, NC. Bob grew up in Winston-Salem, graduated from Reynolds high school, and attended NC State. During his brief life he lived in Winston-Salem, Charleston, SC, and parts of Florida. He lived a rich and full life. He focused his free time on his family and friends. He was a good person and loved by many. His favorite quote, by E. E. Cummings: "To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting."
