Linda Butler Walker, 54, of 7979 N.C. 62 South passed away Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2006, at the Hospice Home. Mrs. Walker was born Nov. 4, 1952, in Forsyth County to Dr. Radford Butler and Jane Butler, and was married for 22 years to James Michael Walker. She attended the Governor Morehead School in Raleigh through the 10th grade and then went to Reynolds High School, where she graduated in 1972. Mrs. Walker furthered her education by completing her undergraduate degree at East Carolina University and then completed her master's degree at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She retired from the Division of Services for the Blind of Alamance County after 27 of service as a social worker. Linda attended Bethel Christian Church and was a member of the Mebane Lions Club and Alamance Council for the Blind. Survivors other than her husband and parents include a son, John Lawrence Walker of the home; a sister, Cynthia Minor of Winston-Salem; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Norman and Betty Butler, and Dick and Lynne Butler, both of Winston-Salem, and Dale and Jackie Butler of Lewisville.
